Millinery Association Drinks

The Millinery Association of Australia is a not for profit organisation. It encompasses a diverse range of millinery, from traditional hats to costume. They host events that showcase quality millinery with professional and enthusiastic members that unite to raise the profile of millinery in Australia.

Each year at the end of the Spring Racing Carnival at Flemington the Millinery Association hosts an evening event for their members. As Lauren is a member the Two Sewing Sisters attended the event.

Bendigo Cup

Erin was invited to join the Bendigo Bank team at the Bendigo Cup. As a mid week country race day the style is more casual than the bigger spring carnival events.

The fabric was purchased years ago at Spotlight and awaited the perfection occasion. The design was a combination of Vogue 9075 for the culottes pants adapted to use Simplicity 4070 for the bodice. We added pleated straps to the bodice for an element of detail across the chest to balance the hat for the day time Bendigo Cup event.

Pattern: Vogue 9075 and Simplicity 4070
Fabric: Spotlight Store
Hat: Lauren J Ritchie
Shoes: Wittner Shoes
Bag: Olga Berg from Myer
Earrings: Northside Southside

A fabulous outfit that lead into a week of new outftis.  The week started with Derby Day the first day of The Melbourne Cup Spring Racing Carnival.Â
